I read a lot. And for almost ten years, I have reviewed kidlit for Publishers Weekly and twice, the L.A. Times. That's a lot of books on my bookshelf. I thought that I would share some of my favorites this summer. Not all of them are books I've reviewed, but all are books I've enjoyed. Most are middle grade and YA, so these are great books to read WITH your kids or grab FOR your kids. But, you might even grab it for yourself . . . .the writing and the stories never disappoint. So grab a beach chair and a towel, or a glass of lemonade and a porch swing. First up is on I just finished: Kwame Alexander's THE CROSSOVER. |

With three kids, papers to grade, miles to run, books to review, guides to create, and stories to write . . . this page will be sorely neglected more often than not. But sometimes, I have something to say.
